As a cadet, you will receive a fully funded education that is valued at over $250,000. This includes tuition, books, room and board, and medical and dental insurance; plus, cadets receive a monthly stipend, between $200-$525, to pay for other school and personal expenses.
Your Career after West Point:
Upon graduation you will enter the U.S. Army as an officer. Engineering majors are presented with exciting opportunities in the Corps of Engineers, Aviation, Air Defense Artillery, Ordinance, Cyber Corps, and Signal Corps Branches.
Compensation is typically around $70,000. with increases tied to promotions. You'll also receive free healthcare, an excellent retirement package, a housing allowance, and 30-days of paid vacation per year.

Basic eligibility requirements:
- At least age 17, but not 23 or older, on July 1 of the year you enter West Point
- A U.S. Citizen
- Not married
- Not pregnant
- Not legally responsible for child support
Your Freshman & Sophomore Year

Your Junior Year
February 1st of your junior year our application portal opens. The first step in applying is to complete your Candidate Questionnaire (CQ). Our application has several steps so start as soon as possible.
Your Senior Year
During the summer and fall of your senior year, the Admissions Office will send additional instructions to competitive applicants who have completed the CQ.
